PAINTING

Painting polymer components

Painting can be the final stage after thermoforming and CNC machining, providing the required colour and appearance of enclosures, covers and other technical parts.

Painting polymer components — MARTEX project 2

Scope of work

  • Painting after thermoforming and CNC machining
  • Finishing enclosures, covers and technical parts
  • Colours and visual effects agreed for each project
  • Can be combined with assembly and other final operations

Painting as a production stage

In many projects, thermoforming and CNC machining are not the final stages. Painting gives the part its intended appearance and can form part of the complete production of an enclosure, cover or other technical polymer component.

From preparation to final finish

When MARTEX manufactures a component from the beginning, finishing requirements can be considered during design, material selection, mould manufacture and CNC machining. The individual operations then form one integrated production process.

Prototypes and series production

We match painting and finishing to the part construction, quantity and desired result. The service can be part of a project from prototype to series production.

Colour, gloss and areas to mask

To define the painting scope, please specify the polymer, surface condition, required colour, gloss and texture. Identify visible surfaces and areas that should remain uncoated, such as selected joints or mounting surfaces. A reference finish sample helps agree on the appearance and acceptance criteria before series production begins.
