POLYCARBONATE / PC
Polycarbonate thermoforming
We specialise in polycarbonate thermoforming, including clear parts where optical surface quality, geometry and material thickness control matter.

Capabilities
- Transparent technical guards and covers
- Vacuum forming of PC polycarbonate
- Mould design accounting for optical quality and sheet stretching
- Machining and finishing after forming
Polycarbonate for demanding guards and covers
Polycarbonate is chosen for transparency, high impact resistance and the ability to create three-dimensional covers. Applications include covers, protective screens, machine guards, equipment parts and enclosures exposed to impacts.
Mould geometry matters
Clear polycarbonate requires more than careful heating and forming. Mould design must account for sheet stretching, radii, depth and areas where the material may thin. We adapt the process to the geometry to control material distribution and achieve good surface quality.
A complete part after thermoforming
After forming, the part can be machined on 3-axis or 5-axis CNC centres. We produce holes, cut-outs and the final outline so the thermoformed cover or guard can be delivered ready for assembly.
Requirements for a transparent cover
For transparent covers, please identify the viewing area, required colour and acceptable optical distortion. Thickness, mounting method, operating conditions and mechanical requirements are also needed for assessment. If the part serves a protective function, the documentation should specify acceptance criteria for the finished component. Specifying polycarbonate alone does not define the requirements for the complete cover.
