MOULDS

Thermoforming moulds

We design and manufacture prototype and production moulds, selecting materials and manufacturing methods to suit the part geometry, surface finish and planned production volume.

Mould quality determines formed part quality

In thermoforming, mould geometry affects surface reproduction, material thickness distribution, demoulding and subsequent machining. This is why the mould should be developed together with the product, rather than after the design work is complete.

Tooling matched to the project stage

The first prototype and repeatable series production call for different tooling. Depending on geometry, expected durability and quantity, we use modelling materials, resins or aluminium. The goal is the required quality without unnecessary tooling costs.

CNC machining and large dimensions

We machine moulds and models on CNC centres. Our largest 5-axis working envelope reaches 4000 × 2600 × 1300 mm, allowing us to produce large tooling models and tooling for oversized components.

Inputs for mould design

A part model or drawing, chosen material, approximate sheet thickness, surface requirements and planned quantity provide the starting point. Mould design considers draft for demoulding, radii, shrinkage and the locations of subsequent trimming and machining. Prototype tooling can be used to check geometry and assembly before committing to more durable production tooling.
